Anne grew up in northern California. After graduating from college, she pursued a graduate education and varied pastoral internships and lay ministries during her twenties in Southern and Northern California, Michigan, Texas, England, France, and Germany. During the next decade she finished work for her doctoral degree, worked in hospital chaplaincy, did full-time college teaching and part-time college and graduate-level teaching, did community-based, organizational, and academic research, attended, presented at, and co-organized various seminars and conferences, and served as Program Director for the Center for Advanced Theological Studies at Fuller Theological Seminary. She and her husband and four children moved to Centerville, Utah, in 2006 where they now make their home.
