She was a public school teacher and high school counselor until she was appointed as a missionary to university students in Mexico in 1969 where she also taught in the School of Nursing at Hospital Mexico/Americano. Dr. Wyman has contributed to The Baker Dictionary of Christian Education. She has served as Discipleship/Family Ministries Consultant, CCSB. Dr. Wyman has taught as a seasonal professor at the University of Calgary. She has taught at the Canadian Southern Baptist Seminary since 1990.
