Father Bede Cisco, OSB, is a monk of Saint Meinrad Archabbey. He is an associate formation dean at Saint Meinrad School of Theology. From 1979 through 1998, he served at Saint Meinrad College in various capacities, including student life and formation, faculty member, and academic dean. In 1999, he became the director of Saint Meinrad School of Theology’s Indianapolis programs. Since 2003, he has been the director of deacon formation for the Archdiocese of Indianapolis, becoming also director of deacons when the first group of permanent deacons was ordained in 2008. He is a co-author of Lay Ministers and Their Spiritual Practices (Our Sunday Visitor, 2003) with James D. Davidson and others.
