Boston University School of Theology
The Boston University School of Theology was started in 1839, and is the founding school of Boston University. In the United States, it is the oldest Methodist theological seminary, and belongs to a thirteen-school consortium under the purview of the United Methodist Church. The school of theology offers a variety of degree programs, including masters degrees in divinity, sacred music, and theological studies, as well as doctorate degrees in theology, ministry, and philosophy. The Anna Howard Shaw Center, the Center for Global Christianity and Mission, and the Center for Practical Theology are affiliated with the Boston University School of Theology.
