A native of Georgia, Mrs. Poleski holds a bachelor’s degree in Latin from Duke University (Durham, North Carolina) and a master’s degree in TESOL from Eastern Michigan University. She has taught ESL since 1992 in a variety of settings, including public school, private tutoring, community college, university and seminary. Her teaching experience includes six appointments as visiting lecturer at the International Summer Language School at the University of West Bohemia in the Czech Republic.

Mrs. Poleski has taught courses in all areas of ESL, with a special interest in the teaching of grammar, reading, and pronunciation. She is a member of TESOL and its Michigan affiliate, MITESOL. She has given presentations at annual meetings of both organizations, on topics of methodology in ESL grammar teaching. In addition, she and a colleague have organized three day-long workshops for ESL English teachers in various regions of Michigan. She teaches courses in grammar, reading/writing, and listening/speaking at the seminary.
