Chris Killacky holds degrees and post-graduate professional qualifications in Physics, Education & Technology, Church Studies and Theology and is professionally registered as an educationalist by the Province of Nova Scotia and in the United Kingdom. In 2002 Her Majesty the Queen awarded him the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Medal for services to education.
Dr Killacky lists his primary work as developing thought and leadership within the increasingly complex work of education and theology. He says that his vision and excitement for opportunities developing global perspectives in understanding religion has been greatly enhanced by an international career as a development educationalist where he worked in the fields of educational leadership, e learning and pedagogy in technology. Dr Killacky has worked in the United Kingdom, Europe, Canada and the USA where he was Director of Educational Training and Technology for the blue chip company AT&T.
Dr Killacky has spoken at numerous international conferences on education and technology and is currently researching the area of Religion, leadership and church in the digital society. He has been the Keynote speaker at the Open University’s e-learning conference and has also given the Educational Technology address at the Technical Institute in Eger, Hungary.
Dr. Killacky enjoys spending his spare time with his children, repairing old cars and supporting local initiatives with his children’s school. He has recently published a book on theological thought and is now working on two further publications.
