Church of Caucasian Albania

The Church of Caucasian Albania was an ancient autocephalous[1] Oriental Orthodox church that existed from 313[2] to 705 and was centered in Caucasian Albania, a region mostly located in present day Azerbaijan.[3] In later years, the Church of Caucasian Albania formed autonomous ecclesiastical jurisdictions within the Armenian Apostolic Church [4]. It was one of the earliest national Christian churches.
