Biography Rabbi Dr. Dalia Marx was born in Jerusalem and received her B.A. Summa cum Laude and her M.A. Magna cum Laude from Hebrew University. She was ordained at HUC-JIR/Cincinnati in 2003. She received her Ph.D. in Jewish Liturgy from the Hebrew University. Her dissertation deals with the early morning ritual in Jewish liturgy.

Marx teaches at the Jerusalem campus of HUC-JIR both in the “Year in Israel” program and the Israeli rabbinic program. She also teaches at the Hebrew University in the department of Hebrew literature, where she was elected as a favorite lecturer for the academic year of 2005-6.

Marx is currently teaching in Berlin through 2009, at the invitation of the German Ministry of Education, where she is a Guest Professor at the Potsdam University at Abraham Geiger College.
