David Hopkins was raised in northern New Jersey where he was a member of the Community Church of Mountain Lakes (United Church of Christ). He is a member of the yoked UCC and Presbyterian Rockville United Church, is an Elder, and has served as President of the Church Council. David has taught and preached extensively throughout the churches of the region. Alongside familial responsibilities, his avocations include tennis, wood working, nature study, and collecting apothecary glassware. David has taught for eighteen years at Wesley Seminary. Previously, he taught for six years at Lancaster Theological Seminary.
