General Council of the Assemblies of God in the United States of America (A/G), is a Pentecostal Christian denomination headquartered in Springfield, Missouri and founded in 1914 during a meeting of Pentecostal ministers at Hot Springs, Arkansas. It was the tenth largest denomination in the United States in 2005,[2] while internationally a part of the world’s largest Pentecostal denomination, the World Assemblies of God Fellowship. It has a membership of over 2.8 million.[1]
