Dr. Isaac has taught at Gordon-Conwell since 1997. An ordained minister, he has served at a number of Advent Christian churches. He pastored churches in Colton, OR, and Watertown, WI, and served as interim pastor in Lewiston, ID; Arleta, CA; Haverhill, MA, and Goodwin’s Mills, ME. He has also spoken on Martin Luther at a lecture series at Lutheran Seminary Osaka in Japan.

Dr. Isaac holds membership in the Sixteenth Century Society and the American Society of Church History. He is an associate editor of Luther Digest.

He is currently attending First Presbyterian Church in Ipswich, MA. He preaches there occasionally and has taught two adult Sunday school classes: Evangelicals and Social Action and a class on Martin Luther.

Dr. Isaac’s expertise is in Reformation Studies, with special emphasis in the theology of Martin Luther. He is also interested in 19th century popular religion.

His personal interests include gardening and international cooking.
