Henry De Moor began his professional life as a pastor in British Columbia, Canada. He went on to pastor two other churches in Canada and the Netherlands. After completing his Doctorate in the Netherlands, Henry began his teaching career at Calvin Theological Seminary. Henry’s areas of interest are church polity, dogmatics, church administration, ecclesiology and homiletics. His desire is to see students thoroughly prepared to be excellent leaders in the church today.

“Calvin Theological Seminary must uphold high standards for ministry. The living and abiding faith of God’s people depends on it. It is not an ‘ivory tower’ of academic enterprise. But neither is it merely a ‘vocational center’ for future preachers and teachers. Upholding high standards even as we remain faithful to Scripture and the church’s creeds lies at the heart of our calling. In this way students truly will be prepared for ministry in the twenty-first century.”

Henry is married to Ina with four children and his interests include music, sports and travel.

Henry De Moor serves annually as an adviser to the synod of the Christian Reformed Church and daily as an adviser to numerous individuals and assemblies.
