Dr. Estep was raised in Lexington, Kentucky where he was an active member of the Southern Acres Christian Church. Jim has always had a keen interest in Christian education, and this has developed into a passion for the subject. Dr. Estep began serving at Lincoln Christian Seminary in 2002 as Professor of Christian Education, and in 2008 as Associate Dean of Online Learning for Lincoln School of Leadership. Previously he had served as Senior Vice President and Provost at Kentucky Christian College (now Kentucky Christian University) in Grayson, Kentucky from 2000-2002, and as Professor of Christian Education and eventually as Vice President of Academic Affairs at Great Lakes Christian College (Lansing, Michigan) from 1992-2000. He has also served as an adjunct professor or visiting guest professor for Cincinnati Christian University (Cincinnati, Ohio), Milligan College (Milligan College, Tennessee), Central Christian College of the Bible (Moberly, Missouri), Florida Christian College (Kissimmee, Florida), TCM International Institute (Heiligenkreuz, Austria), Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (Louisville, Kentucky), and Northwest Nazarene University (Nampa, Idaho). He has also guest lectured and consulted at several colleges, seminaries, and universities.
