John Clabeaux earned the Ph.D. in New Testament and Christian Origins from Harvard University in 1983. With a background in Classics he taught Biblical Studies and Ancient Languages at St. John’s Seminary College in Brighton, Massachusetts for 19 years. He was a full formation faculty member at the seminary college throughout that time. From 1998-2003 he also taught Greek at Harvard Divinity School.

His monograph, A lost Edition of the Letters of Paul, was published in 1992. Since then his research has been focused on the relationship of Judaism to Christianity and Early Christian Prayer. He has chaired or co-chaired seminars in the Society of Biblical Literature (Prayer and the Greco-Roman World) and the Catholic Biblical Association (Biblical Issues in Jewish Christian Relations). His most recent work, an introduction to New Testament Greek, will be published by the University of Scranton Press in the Fall of 2008.
