After twenty gratifying years as a Lutheran minister, Prof. Koenig became an Episcopal priest in 1993. Serving on General’s faculty since 1978, he previously taught at Princeton Seminary and his alma mater, Union. Professor Koenig has written numerous articles as well as several books relating biblical studies to the church’s ministry. The most recent of these is Soul Banquets: How Meals Become Mission in the Local Congregation (Morehouse, 2007). Prof. Koenig offers seminars on this theme and on topics treated in his other writings (e.g., hospitality, the Eucharist, prayer, Jewish-Christian relationships, and church leadership).
