“The liturgies that we enter into are both expressive and creative. They outwardly express what we individually and in common hold as faithful beliefs and, at the same time, they create us or form us to be more the body of Christ and more the presence of God in and for the world. Our task in a graduate school of ministry and theology is to understand as best we can the development and meaning of liturgy, historically and contemporarily, and to practice and strive for the best presiding, preaching, gesture, music, art and architecture so that our worship celebrations are truly a fundamental source for Christian living, for ourselves and for those with whom we serve.”
