Marguerite Van Die holds a joint appointment in Queen’s Theological College and the Department of History at Queen’s University. Her specialty is 19th century Protestantism in North America, with a special interest in the interaction between socio-economic change, gender, and religion.. She is also interested in the history of Christian spirituality and in religion and public life.
She is author of An Evangelical Mind: Nathanael Burwash and the Methodist Tradition in Canada, 1839-1918 (1989), and editor of Religion and Public Life in Canada: Historical and Comparative Perspectives (2001).
