M.L.I.S., University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee,
M.Div., Th.M., Th.D., Central Baptist Theological Seminary,

Born and raised in Wisconsin, I received Christ as a teenager. I did my academic studies in Wisconsin and Minnesota. While in college I married my college sweetheart, Virginia; we are blessed with four sons. We also shared the seminary experience with each of us earning a degree from Central Baptist Seminary in Minneapolis.

During my last year of seminary I assumed the pastorate of Grace Baptist Church in Boyceville, Wisconsin, and pastored there for four years. This was followed by more schooling. The Lord allowed me to combine my continued studies with pastoral ministry when I began pastoring Blaine Baptist Church in suburban Minneapolis. During the twelve years I pastored in Blaine I finished my theological studies in the midst of my pastoral and family responsibilities. Progressing in my studies allowed me to broaden my ministry by serving as an adjunct professor at Central. The combination of ministry and education also opened doors for short-term teaching experiences in both India and Romania.

The opportunity of serving at Central Baptist Theological Seminary of Virginia Beach allows me the occasion to combine my passion for ministry, for teaching, and for books! “You, O Lord, are the portion of my inheritance. . . . The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places . . .” (Psalm 16:5-6).
