Fr. Miroslaw K. Krol was born on August 18, 1970 in Gorlice, Poland to Marian and Helena (Bogusz) Krol and grew up in Stawisza, Poland.

In 1991 Fr. Krol began studies at the Seminary of Christ the King, Gdansk, Poland in preparation for the priesthood. He completed his philosophy degree in 1993 and continued for one year to study theology at the same seminary. In the meantime, he applied and was accepted to SS. Cyril and Methodius Seminary in Orchard Lake, MI.

Fr. Krol attended SS. Cyril and Methodius for two years where he studied English (ESL) and aculturation. In 1996 he was accepted to Immaculate Conception Seminary of Seton Hall University in South Orange, NJ in order to continue his theological studies. He was ordained a deacon for the Archdiocese of Newark in June 1998.

He completed his MA in Systematic Theology in 1999 and on May 29, 1999, was ordained a priest by Archbishop Theodore E. McCarrick at the Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart, for the Archdiocese of Newark.

Fr. Krol has also had various appointments during his priesthood, including serving at many parishes throughout New Jersey. In 2003, Fr. Krol was appointed the Coordinator of the Polish Apostolate for the Archdiocese of Newark by Archbishop John J. Myers. Since 2002 he has been the President of the John Paul II Vatican Foundation, New Jersey Chapter. In 2003 he was elected by the presbyterate to be President of the Polish Clergymen’s Society of the Archdiocese of Newark and the Diocese of Paterson. In 2004 he was elected a member of the board of directors of the Polish American Priests Association. He also served as the Chairman for the 2006 P.A.P.A. Convention in Newark, NJ.

In June 2006 he was appointed by Cardinal Adam Maida as dean of Students at SS. Cyril and Methodius Seminary in Orchard Lake, MI.

Since the fall of 2005, he has been studying for a doctorate in Liturgy at the Pontifical Academy of Theology in Krakow, Poland. He is expected to obtain his STL in the Spring 2008.
