In 1998, Nealy married the love of her life, Jeff Brown. Jeff is currently an engineer for Caterpillar. Together they have traveled the globe for work and for enjoyment. One of their most memorable trips was in traveling to Lagos, Nigeria to adopt their daughter Joy, in 2004. Joy was 14 years at the time and had made friends with a missionary who was also a dear friend of Nealy’s. Joy has been a remarkable blessing. She is compassionate, intelligent, hard working, and deeply committed to God. Joy is presently pursuing her education to become a nurse. In 2008, the Browns welcomed Zachary Peterson into their home. He was also 14 years old at the time and has been know by them since he was born. Zachary attends Peoria Notre Dame High School where he does football, wrestling, and track. Zachary has been a wonderful addition to the family. He is almost always in a great mood, just a delight to be around. He’s brilliant, conscientious – always helping out, and has a heart of gold.
Nealy has served as a chaplain in the United States Air Force Reserve since 2001. She is presently a Captain and has been assigned as a Chaplain to Scott Air Force Base. Nealy was previously assigned to the 434th Air Refueling Wing, Grissom Air Force Base, Indiana, and the 916th Air Refueling Wing, Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, North Carolina. She has worked on temporary duty assignments at Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas, Incirlik Air Base, Turkey, Office of Defense Cooperation, Ankara Turkey, and on a humanitarian effort to Paraguay.
Nealy enjoys NFL, watching movies, water sports, traveling, and long walks. She remains faithful to her favorite NFL team, the Houston, Texans, and roots for anyone playing Dallas.
