Born in the UK, Mr. Halley received his early musical education in Ottawa, Ontario before becoming Organ Scholar at Trinity College in Cambridge, England. He has worked in many parts of the world including Jamaica, and was for a number of years Organist and Choir Master at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in New York. While there, he transformed the music program to reflect a rich combination of classical and contemporary music. He was also a principal member of the Paul Winter Consort. Featured on over 20 recordings by the Consort, he was awarded Grammies for four. Paul is also in demand as a composer whose works are performed by internationally renowned musicians all over the world.

For the past seven years, Paul Halley has been Director of Music at Trinity Episcopal Church, Torrington, Connecticut, where he conducted a 30-voice semi-professional choir, and worked with organ scholars from Yale University’s Institute of Sacred Music.
