Ferris previously served as president of Prairie Graduate School in Calgary and Prairie Bible College in Three Hills, Alberta. He was professor of Hebrew Bible and pastoral theology at Columbia Biblical Theological Seminary (S.C.); instructor at Moody Bible Institute; and visiting professor, Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (Ill.) and Jerusalem University College (Israel). He brings to the classroom significant ministry experience in the pastorate, church-planting, hospital chaplaincy, and a variety of cross-cultural experience. He has authored The Genre of Communal Lament in the Bible and the Ancient Near East as well as many articles in reference works, journals, and periodicals.
