Phil Campbell directs the Office of Ministry Studies, working with students in field placements in churches, hospitals and agencies. His teaching and research interests include religious leadership, racial justice, individualism and community, and denominational identity. He also directs Iliff’s Justice and Peace Program. Prior to coming to Iliff in 2005 he served as a local church pastor, college chaplain, and interfaith agency director.

Campbell is an ordained clergyperson in the United Church of Christ (UCC) and a member of the Association of Theological Field Educators. He has held numerous denominational, ecumenical and community positions and currently serves as treasurer of the Interfaith Alliance of Colorado. He is spokesperson for Colorado Clergy for Equality in Marriage, chairs the Church Care Committee of the UCC Metropolitan Denver Association, and serves on the national Ministry Issues Implementation Task Force.
