Dr. Tompkins is the founder and president of Explore Truth Ministries, which provides consulting services, workshops, and seminars for churches and para-church organizations in leadership, apologetics, disciple building, and evangelism. Dr. Tompkins also serves on the board of directors of College Life and as a theology and apologetics consultant to the Carolina Network and is a member of the International Society of Christian Apologetics. Dr. Tompkins is an ordained Baptist minister and the founding pastor of Community Life Church of the Carolinas. Before his call to ministry, he completed a 27-year career as an executive with one of America’s largest multinational corporations. He has a B.S. in Business Administration from Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, MO, an M.B.A. from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, IL, an M.A. in Christian Thought (Theology) from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in South Hamilton, MA, and a D.Min. in Apologetics from Southern Evangelical Seminary in Charlotte, NC. Theological persuasion: Conservative Evangelical.
