Dr. Rodney Decker has served as a professor at BBS since 1996. He has published two major books (Temporal Deixis of the Greek Verb, vol. 10 of Studies in Biblical Greek, Peter Lang, 2001 and Koine Greek Reader, Kregel, 2007), and has several others under contract. The next two to be released are Reading Koine Greek: An Introduction and Integrated Workbook (Baker Academic, 2014?), and the Mark volume in the Baylor Handbook on the Greek NT series. Some of his other works published include a number of smaller books, articles in works edited by others, as well as scholarly articles in Trinity Journal, Bibliotheca Sacra, Grace Journal, Detroit Baptist Seminary Journal, Themelios, and The Journal of Ministry and Theology. He has presented papers at the Evangelical Theological Society, Society of Biblical Literature, and at the Bible Faculty Leadership Summit. He was the guest lecturer for the Clearwater Lecture Series at Central Baptist Seminary of Virginia Beach in 2002. He served as the Evangelical Theological Society Eastern Region Chair, 2003-2004. In addition, he edits and maintains and has created several specialized TrueType fonts for Greek, including a polytonic Greek Unicode font. Prior to teaching at BBS, Dr. Decker taught for six years at Calvary Bible College and Seminary in Kansas City. Previously he spent a dozen years in pastoral ministry.
