Sergei Dimitrievich Arhipov, Head Librarian, Registrar and Assistant Professor of Church Slavonic and, is a graduate of Penn State University, where he earned both a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Master of Arts degree in Slavic Languages and Literatures, and Drexel University, where he was awarded a Master of Science degree in Library and Information Sciences. He has been on the staff of St. Tikhon’s Seminary since 1997. He has translated, compiled and edited numerous liturgical books and services, most notably The Apostol, The Lenten Triodion (Supplementary Texts) translated by Metropolitan Kallistos Ware and Mother Mary, published by the St. Tikhon’s Seminary Press, and the translation from the Romanian of D. Staniloae’s Orthodox Spirituality, by Archimandrite Jerome (Newville),

His current projects include complete new revisions of both The Gospel Lectionary and The Apostol, as well as The Daily Prayerbook and The Hours and Typika. He is also the co-editor of the Annual Lectionary and Rubrics published by St. Tikhon’s Monastery.

Professor Arhipov is a Reader, and he serves as a Choir Director at Saint Mark’s Orthodox Church in Wrightstown, Pennsylvania.
