Dr. Stephen Strauss is the Director of Serving in Mission (SIM) USA, after serving as a missionary to Ethiopia 19 years. During that time, he held a number of positions including assistant pastor at the International Evangelical Church of Addis Ababa (1983-85 and 1989-93). Dr. Strauss has broad teaching experience, having taught Homiletics at Dallas Theological Seminary (1980-81); Hermeneutics, Systematic and Contextual Theology, Missions, Church History, New Testament, and Homiletics at Evangelical Theological College in Addis Ababa (1984-2001); Systematic and Contextual Theology, and African Church History and Theology at the Ethiopian Graduate School of Theology (1998-2001). He also served as Principal of the Evangelical Theological College in Addis Ababa (1986-93 and 1995-2001). He and his wife, Marcia, have three children: Cara, Mark and David.
