Susan Hecht joined the faculty on a part-time basis in 2007. She is currently completing a PhD in Theological Studies with a concentration in the New Testament from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. She is a member of the Evangelical Theological Society and the Society of Biblical Literature. With regard to publications, she has written a work on the topic of ministry to Postmoderns.

Prof. Hecht earned an MA in Biblical Studies with an emphasis in the New Testament from Denver Seminary and a BS in botany at Duke University. Prior to entering the doctoral program at TEDS, she was a full-time staff member with the Campus Ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ for twenty years. While on the staff of CCC her responsibilities included being involved in ministries of evangelism and discipleship on campuses in Colorado, Oregon, and North Carolina, training people in public speaking skills for a variety of ministry settings, participating in multi-national ministry events both in the US and abroad, and serving in various leadership capacities, most recently as Human Resources Associate for the Great Plains Region.
