Emeritus Professor of Pastoral Ministry, Houston Graduate School of Theology

B.S., Olivet Nazarene University,
M.A., The California Graduate School of Theology,
D.Min., The California Graduate School of Theology,

Upon moving to Houston while I was still in my twenties, I began looking for a place to continue my graduate ministerial training. To my amazement, there were no Protestant seminaries, only an undergraduate Bible college or two.

I began praying for God to raise up a Christian graduate school, never thinking or even dreaming that someday I would be a part of that answered prayer. I have been associated with HGST in an adjunct relationship since the mid 1980’s. More recently, since July of 1996, I have been the Dean of the Doctor of Ministry Degree Program.

I also am pastor of an experimental “cell” (small group centered) church. Recent converts have included Muslims, Buddhists and just plain American pagans. I hold two Bachelor of Science degrees from Olivet Nazarene University, Kankakee, IL. and two graduate degrees for The California Graduate School of Theology (Master of Arts, Doctor of Ministry).

My hobby, which I share with my wife Nona, is photography, especially with an international flair.

My daughter, my only child, lives next door to me with her two girls. On almost a daily basis, this makes for a very delightful experience.
